Water Damage Restoration

After a fire, flood or plumbing failure, fast action to dry out and restore water damaged areas can mean saving thousands of dollars in loss to structural components, electronic equipment, paper documents and furnishings.

State of the art dehumidification equipment managed by TST Restoration professionals who understand psychrometrics will limit losses from moisture damage and return your Austin or Central Texas property to its pre-loss condition.

Water damaged furnishings can be restored, insulated walls can be dried without interruptive replacement. Expensive floors and floor coverings can be saved without fear of malodor. Inventories can be dried in place. Corrosion to metal surfaces on electronics, machinery and inventories can be prevented by prompt and timely measures.

TST Restoration addresses a variety of tasks involved with a water damage loss. Some of the common items associated with such a project are as follows:

  • Protect contents from further damages
  • Identify Pre-existing damages
  • Initiate extraction procedures
  • Set up evaporation and dehumidification equipment to promote drying
  • Customer communication
  • Project monitoring and documentation
  • Cleaning, Demolition, Reconstruction

WATER REMOVAL EQUIPMENT

  • Moisture detectors and hygrometers
  • Infrared cameras
  • Submersible for continuous pumping of high-level water
  • Truck mounted and portable extraction units

SANITIZING AGENTS, GERMICIDES, & ANTI-MICROBIAL TREATMENTS

  • Deodorization products control odors
  • Disinfection products stop the growth of bacteria, fungi, mildew, and other harmful microorganisms.

HI-TECH DRYING EQUIPMENT

  • Drying equipment helps prevent property water damage like swelling and warping of floors, walls and furniture.
  • Industrial grade dehumidifiers
  • High-speed air movers create airflow across walls, carpets, pads and furniture, evaporating moisture.
  • Some losses call for special drying equipment
  • Refrigerant Dehumidifiers work similarly to air conditioners.
  • Desiccant Dehumidifiers use chemicals, called desiccants, that readily absorb moisture from air.

Psychrometrics

Psychrometry is the study of the air and its properties. The properties of temperature, humidity, vapor pressure and dew point are measured to evaluate air conditions in the structure, enabling TST to create the proper atmosphere for more efficient drying. Water can damage materials in two ways: first, by absorption through direct contact with water; and second, absorption of moisture from the air. Measuring the moisture content of the air is critical to the drying process.
